Ken Blum

Ken has nearly 20 years experience coaching and skill development working with hundreds of players from Mites to players at the collegiate and pro levels.

As an NHL draft pick in 1989 by the Minnesota North Starts (now Dallas Stars) he has played at some of the highest levels in hockey from D1 at Lake Superior State University, OHL with the Ottawa 67’s, Guelph Storm and Niagara Falls Thunder to playing professionally for 10 years with various teams in the AHL and ECHL.

In a constantly evolving game, Ken has developed a program with challenging drills that focus on individual skill fundamentals integrated with situational play, helping players to become more versatile and confident when it’s game time.

Ken has also developed a mobile application on iOS platform that is intended to reach thousands of players that send their videos for complete analysis. Each player has different needs. Whether it is positional play or decision making during games or skating, stickhandling and shooting fundamentals during practice sessions, there is no better teacher than a player’s ability to see their mistakes and successes on video.

Ken Blum is the Director of Iceology Hockey and the PT Bulldogs Summer Hockey Program in Whitestown NY and runs hockey camps, clinics and individual lessons year round throughout upstate and central New York.
